International Association for Healthcare Data Analytics
The International Association for Healthcare Data Analytics (IAHDA), established in 2021 is a society, registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. It is a scientific body consisting of biostatisticians, healthcare quality professionals, physicians, nurses, other medical and allied professionals, researchers, demographers and scientists from other related disciplines.
This community of data driven medical personnel is the only Society of its kind in the South East Asia region. The Society provides a common platform to statisticians, medical professionals (such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, technicians etc.), healthcare quality professionals, medical researchers as well as computer specialists working in healthcare institutions to interact and benefit mutually, walking hand in hand towards a common mission, which is the development, application and integration of statistical techniques in the healthcare domain for safe, high quality patient care. Such a dynamic and data driven society requires a strong backbone to sustain itself and move steadily towards its goal.
Our leadership comprises of accomplished and enthusiastic personnel, with a passion for better healthcare delivery. Dr.Jaichandran V V is a dynamic personality with a vivacious passion for healthcare quality improvement and patient safety. He is the Chairperson, Hospital Safety Committee(HSC), Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. He is the Founder & Secretary, Association of Indian Ophthalmic Anaesthesiologists (AIOA). He has developed along with Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT-M, two simulators for practicing regional ophthalmic blocks, first of its kind, called “Ophthalmic Anaesthesia Simulation System (OASiS)” and “Real Time View Mannequin for Needle Blocks.” He was the Organizing Secretary and Scientific Vice-Chair for the 4th World Congress of Ophthalmic Anaesthesia (WCOA), held first time in India, conducted jointly by Sankara Nethralaya and British Ophthalmic Anaesthesia Society, UK.
Not only research pursuits, he has also authored chapters in Books, written invited Review articles and published Original research articles in both National and several International peer reviewed Indexed journals. He was invited nationally and internationally as a guest speaker, to conduct workshop in regional eye blocks and to perform live demonstration of ophthalmic blocks. He is one of the Chief Editor for the book titled “Principles and Practice of Ophthalmic Anaesthesia”. His areas of special interests include regional ophthalmic anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia and bio-statistics.

Dedicated to the promotion of quality care and patient safety, Dr. Rohitha is a dedicated medical professional with 7+ years of experience in healthcare. Having completed her Master’s in Hospital Administration, she is currently working with NABH and NABL accreditation teams.
Her knowledge from both sides of the coin helps her have a broader view of the healthcare system. Her vision is to educate more baseline and frontline workers on the quality standards required and help healthcare organizations make quality an ingrained culture, not just some standards to be followed when imposed.
She has also completed proficiency courses in NABH 5th Edition training and Beyond NABH with ACME, a leading NABL, NABH consultancy service in India. Currently pursuing MS in data analytics from IIIT-B, she is passionate in inculcating a data driven healthcare world, one where data and care walk side by side.
With RISI, she is a dynamic coordinator of courses and training sessions. She also guides clinical and epidemiological research alongside Dr. Thennarasu, seeking to encourage more data and data analysis in the healthcare scenario. Understanding the need for healthcare statistics, she takes an active lead to promote the importance of a Data – Driven culture in today’s Healthcare systems.

Having nearly 16+years of experience across wide gamut of functions including Hospital Infection control, Patient safety, Quality, Medication Safety, Facility Safety, Assessor (NABH/QCI), Accreditations (JCI/NABH/ ISO/NIAHO) and Training, Dr Reshma is a veritable beacon of knowledge. She is an Assessor member of NABH team at External audits on behalf Quality Council India Empanelled NABH Assessor with Quality Council India.
She is also a Certified Assessor of WHO Standards for Patient Safety Friendly Hospitals by QAI (Nov’2019) and Certified as Assessor for National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) standards in India, By Quality Council India (QCI) New Delhi, as Assessor with NABH.-2009. She is a JCI –Certified Internal Auditor since 2018 (Six sigma healthcare- Delhi) and certified as Internal Auditor for NABL Standards (ISO 15189) April’16 (360 help –Delhi).
She has done Certificate courses in Hazard identification and Risk Management by National Safety Council (March ‘20) and Hospital Infection Control at Tata Memorial Hospital from SNDT University in 2004. She has been awarded as the GOLD Winner for Best Practices for Facility Safety at 8th International Patient safety conference Sept’2019 and is the Winner of 2 Asian Patient Safety Awards 2016 and 2017 at International Congress on Patient Safety. Her poster presentation at 35th ISQUA conference at Kuala Lumpur 2018 was appreciated greatly and she has served as judge for many poster competitions as well.
